The City of Rockville's government enjoys a reputation for high caliber professional management. Citizen volunteers make important contributions to both Rockville’s government and the community. There are more than 150 other citizen volunteers who serve on over 30 boards, committees, commissions, and special task forces to provide the Mayor and Council with sources of informed opinion and public participation in the shaping of policies and programs. This partnership between residents and city government is one of Rockville’s strongest assets.
