COVID-19
There are many ways your actions can help protect you, your household, and your community from severe illness from COVID-19. Follow CDC’s recommendations for what to do if you were exposed. The use of a mask is optional in the City of Rockville.
Student Service Learning (SSL) Hours
SSL hours are available to MCPS students for most of the city's volunteer opportunities. Click here to see all SSL opportunities offered by the city.
Students can now earn SSL hours for some limited remote/virtual service completed from home under the supervision of an approved nonprofit organization. Read the temporarily amended MCPS SSL guidelines for virtual/remote volunteering.
Student volunteers usually participate in the city by working with children as mentors, doing cleanups in the community in public areas under direct supervision, removing weeds at city parks or supporting other activities in the city.
